Simon Heath

Simon has 25 years of experience working in the arts and arts administration.  He worked as an actor, director and playwright for fifteen years before briefly sitting in as Artistic Director at Toronto’s iconic Theatre Passe Muraille.  He has sat on numerous Boards of Directors, including Theatre Passe Muraille, The National Arts Centre’s Magnetic North Theatre Festival and most recently Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society. 

He was instrumental in helping establish the Creemore Festival of the Arts and the Creemore Children’s Festival.  He is the author of several novels and lives in Dunedin. 

Simon is a potter whose work can be seen at Curiosity House Books in Creemore where his first book Doppelganger is also available.  He is currently working on publishing a trilogy of novels about a community of people trying to survive a worldwide power outage.
